Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Where appropriate, the service may be provided by telephone or video conferencing. You are responsible for the costs associated with setting up the technology needed so you can access telehealth services. The Moderation Clinic will be responsible for the cost of the call to you and the cost associated with the platform used to conduct telehealth services. The consultation cost is payable over the telephone via Visa or Mastercard at the end of the session.

How do telehealth consultations work?

To access telehealth consultations, you will need access to a quiet, private space, the appropriate device (e.g., smartphone, laptop, iPad, computer with a camera, microphone, and speakers), and a reliable broadband internet connection. The privacy of any form of communication via the Internet is potentially vulnerable and limited by the security of the technology used.

What are the limitations of telehealth consultations?

A telehealth consultation may be subject to limitations such as an unstable network connection, which may affect the quality of the session. In addition, there may be some services for which telehealth is not appropriate or effective. Your Moderation Clinic practitioner will consider and discuss the appropriateness of ongoing telehealth sessions.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

Confidentiality is paramount in our practice. Information shared in sessions is confidential, with exceptions only as required by law, such as court subpoenas or immediate safety risks. With your consent, information may be shared with other professionals or agencies for your benefit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Rescheduling or cancelling an appointment without providing two working days’ notice or not attending an appointment attracts a $141.85 fee. This fee needs to be attended to before making another appointment. The Moderation Clinic will consider waiving the fee if you provide a medical certificate from your GP outlining why appointment attendance was impossible. The Moderation Clinic accepts up to two medical certificates from your GP and will accept further medical certificates at its discretion.
